Privacy Policy

This page says what the request form on this site collects, why each part of it is there, where it goes once you press send, and how long it is held. It applies to this site only.

What you give us when you send a request

The form collects your name, your phone number, your email address, the street address of the property, its city, its state, its ZIP code, and a free text message about what you are dealing with. Before those it asks up to six multiple choice questions: what you are dealing with, what kind of building it is, where you think the water came from, whether anything is still wet, what your connection to the property is, and how soon you want someone on it. Your name, a valid US phone number, your email address, the property address and the ZIP code are required. The city, the state, the message and the six questions are optional, and the form sends without them.

The form also records which page of this site you sent it from, and whether the $100 credit described on our Terms page was showing when you did. It carries one hidden field that people never see; a submission that arrives with it filled in is treated as automated and thrown away.

Why the required fields are required

Your name, phone number and email address are how the contractor who takes the job reaches you to arrange a visit, and how our written reply reaches you. An email address also covers the common case of a mistyped phone number. The ZIP code decides which contractors can take the job at all, because work is matched by location; a request without one cannot be routed and would go nowhere.

The property address

The address tells us which building the request is about, and in this county that matters as much as the mold does. A unit in a condominium tower, a townhouse and a detached house are handled differently, because in a condominium part of the building may be the association's to repair and part of it yours. The address is used to match the job to a contractor by property, and for nothing else.

It is kept, shared and deleted on the same terms as the rest of your request, and it is never written into our diagnostic logs. Those logs record only that an address was or was not supplied. A street line and a ZIP code together identify a household, so no part of one is logged.

Your answers to the six questions

The multiple choice answers travel with your request as readable text and as short labels, so whoever reads it can see what you said without asking you again. They describe the building, the water and the timing. They are not health information, and the form does not ask for any.

How you found this site

When you first arrive, a short script records how you got here: the utm source, medium, campaign, content and term values on the link you followed, the website that referred you, the page you landed on, and any advertising click identifier in the address. It keeps the first of these for your visit rather than the latest, so moving between our own pages does not overwrite it. The record sits in your browser's session storage, which the browser clears when you close the tab. It is sent only if you send a request, and it is used to learn which pages help people. It holds nothing that names you.

Where your request goes

A request is delivered to GoHighLevel, a customer relationship management service we use, where it becomes a contact record carrying your details, your message, your answers, the arrival record above and the name of this site. That is the only place a request is sent. There is no email copy and no second system. If GoHighLevel does not accept the request, the page tells you so and does not thank you for something that did not arrive.

From there your details go to the local contractor or contractors the job needs. On this site that is often more than one: Florida licenses mold assessment and mold remediation separately, and section 468.8419 of the Florida Statutes bars one from doing the other on the same structure within twelve months, so the assessment and the removal usually sit with two different companies, and drying can be a third. Each receives what it needs for its part. We do not sell your details, we do not pass them to lead exchanges, and we do not add you to mailing lists.

Your condominium association, landlord or insurer

We do not contact your association, your building manager, your landlord or your insurance company about your request. If you want a report sent or copied to any of them, ask, and it will be. Nothing is sent to them on our own initiative.

There is no phone line on this site

This site publishes no phone number and makes no calls from one. Our reply comes in writing. Your phone number is asked for so that the contractor who takes the job can arrange access to the property.

Cookies, analytics and third parties

This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no analytics, advertising or measurement tags. The only thing it stores in your browser is the arrival record described above, in session storage. The site is served through Cloudflare, whose servers handle each page request in the ordinary way, and its typefaces load from Google Fonts, so opening a page makes your browser request those fonts from Google. If a measurement tag is added to this site, this section changes in the same update.

How long it is kept

A request is kept for as long as it serves the job you asked about and any follow up from it, and is then deleted. If you ask for deletion sooner, it is deleted sooner. A contractor you were introduced to keeps its own records under its own terms, and deleting ours does not delete theirs, so ask them as well.

What you can ask for

You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. You can tell any contractor we introduced that you do not want to hear from them again, and that stands whatever you have told us.

Questions about this policy

Send them through the request form and say they are about privacy. They reach the same place as every other request and are answered in writing.
